New traditions launch

New tradition

As part of the graduation program, on May 31, 2018, the Career and Advising Center and graduates of 2018 held a tree planting ceremony.

The ceremony was dedicated to the tradition of previous issues, which planted trees in appreciation and gratitude to their alma mater and to the symbolic presentation of a new beginning of their life after graduation. Graduates, faculty, and university officials took part in the effort to share this special moment and congratulate each other.

A tree was planted in the alumni park to grow and gain strength along with the 2018 class graduates.

8 years ago, 500 young people entered the new university; literally, there was no one who could give advice during their studies, and no one could say “welcome” to them after graduation!

Therefore, in order to maintain the mutual connection between alumni and students of NU and to symbolize the success of generations, another issue emerged in the 2015–2017 edition: giving students of the WU a wish book so that they can direct and support them.

During the graduation ceremony, on the stage, the Book of Wishes was presented to the students’ representatives. In this book, you will find greetings and good wishes written by our graduates with love and care. We hope that this book will inspire you for future achievements.

Here are some wishes from our graduates:

“Dream big! Find your way and go through it! You can do more than you can imagine, I know that!” (Kuanysh Habibullin, class 2015, Saudi Arabia).

“In short – never give up! Set goals and go to him! ”(Anuar Serikov, class 2017, Google, United Kingdom).

“Dream, be purposeful, remember the roots, be a man! (Nigina Baymukhamedova, class of 2016, USA).
